Chongqing Custom and Xinjiang Cutom built cooperation on 23th Feb 2018, in order to strengthen "One Belt One Road"Railway service

Chongqing Municipal Government has put Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe International Railway into service through further optimization and improvement of the original Eurasian Land Bridge.The new Eurasian Land Bridge starts from Chongqing Tuanjiecun passes Alashankou, Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus and Poland, finally arrives Duisburg of Germany covering 11, 179 kilometers. Chinese National Ministries and Commissions such as the General Administration of Customs and the Ministry of Railways put much effort  and support on this new Eurasian Land Bridge . .

Compared with rail-sea combined transport (Chongqing-Shenzhen by rail, Shenzhen-Europe by sea) or river-sea combined transport (by water across Yangtze River to Shanghai, Shanghai to Europe by sea), Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe International Railway can shorten present shipping times by up to 20 days.  The distance covered is at least 1, 000 kilometers less than Northern Railway from Manzhouli passes Russia, Belarus, Poland and ends in Germany.

Compared with the second Eurasian Continental Bridge linking Lianyungang in East China’s Jiangsu province passes Alashankou in Xinjiang with Rotterdam in the Netherlands. The route will be used to link Europe to South China’s manufacturing hub and Southwest China’s industrial belt.
